R3D2!!

26 Jan

Woops I forgot to keep posting about the Star Wars  blanket. I just finished R2D2 last night and I must say, he has turned out to be my favorite so far. You can’t see the little red part up in the top but it’s there, trust me!

Close up of all the  intarsia goodness.

So far I’ve done 10 squares, I am going to make two of each but I’mnot sure what to make in between the Star Wars squares. Solid squares? Stripe squares? this will drive me batty and probably make me not even finish this blanket.

A few of my favorite things…

Scissors are one of my many things that I love to collect. There’s just something about them, I’m not really sure what it is but I love them. My favorite one has to be the silver ones in the middle. They are huge and so very sharp and just beautiful.

I have more than those guys, lots of little ones and plain ones, even have some necklaces with scissors. It’s grown into a full blown collection that it kinda scares me sometimes but I like to think that if anyone tries to fuck with me I can easily grab a pair of my trusty scissors and fuck them right back with a cherry on top.

Wittle sweater for a wittle dog

Yeah I’m one of THOSE people, totally couldn’t help it. He looks so cute in that sweater and he totally loves it. He prances around like he’s hot stuff, it’s rather funny.

I’ve always dressed up my pets. When I was younger we had this huge fat cat, so of course I had to dress her up in Barbie clothes….still no idea how I even manage to get those clothes on her but I did. My brother told me after that, every morning he got up to get ready for school the cat would jump on his head and claw at him woops haha.

I was going to make a sweater for Pete, but I don’t think he needs one. He hates wearing anything unless it’s my niece’s fairy wings, don’t ask because I have no idea. I put them on him one day and he just went nuts, running all over happy and to the front door to go on walks with them on, crazy mutt.

Clone Trooper and Darth Vader

Two more squares of the Star Wars blanket is done!

Darth Vader has been a pain in the butt, I made I think four of them all together because I just wasn’t happy with anything. At first I tried to do duplicate stitch and never again. It was just blah not my thing. Intarsia isn’t my thing either, I’m just really now figuring it all out and it’s also a pain in the butt. Totally worth it, though. I love the outcome.
